• Location: Malvern College, 3 Fo Chun Road, Province Bay, New territories

  • Registration 10-10.45am​

  • Round 1: 11am, Round 2: 12pm, Round 3: 1.30pm, Round 4: 2.30pm, Round 5: 3.30pm, Round 6: 4.30pm. Prize Giving: 5.30pm

• Eligibility: open to all students in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. As a scholastic event, all players are requested to wear their school uniforms.​

• Age Categories: Under 8 (born 2017 and after), Under 10 (born 2015, 2016), Under 12 (born 2013, 2014), Under 18 (born 2007 to 2012)

• Format & Time Control: FIDE 'Laws of Chess', Rapid play, 15 minutes per player and 3 seconds increment after every move

• Catering: the canteen will be open throughout the day for light food and snacks

• Prizes:

  • Individual: trophies for Top 6 players in each age category (if less than 20 players in an age group there will be 3 trophies)​

  • School:

    • Trophies for the Top 5 schools in each age category (adding the scoes of the best 4 players of each school)​

    • Champion Trophy: Dr. Lister Cup for the school with the best total score (16 players: accumulated points of the 4 best players in each age category). The Dr. R. Lister Cup can be kept for 1 year. Winning school name will be engraved.

  • Registration Deadline: ​16 February 2025. After this date registrations will be put on the waiting list and play cannot be guaranteed.​​

  • Registration Fees (HKD):

    • Regular: 450​

    • Caissa Students (group class, online, school, private): 400

    • Malvern Student: 400
