All Caissa Youth Win Prizes in all-ESF Schools QBS Junior Star Tournament
Sunday 20 September Quarry Bay School held its 4th edition of the Junior Star Chess Tournament for a dozen or so ESF Primary schools in Hong Kong. We had 9 students from Caissa ... and all got a prize!
Exteremely successful were the Discovery College students who brought home 4 out of the total of 6 trophies that could be won - not to mention the two Champion titles!
In Upper Primary top seed Miguel Angel was the strongest player and after having been Champion for 2 years in Lower Primary in previous editions he can now claim this title in Upper Primary. Well done Miguel! Mei Jing ended 8th and got a medal too.
Harold from Kowloon Junior School and Howard from QBS won medals for 6th and 7th place respectively. Good job boys!
In the Lower Primary Mahir was unstoppable and with 6 out of 6 became this year's Champion. A great result given he is only a P2 student! Noah and Seth, who had to play against one another (draw) and against Mahir could finally claim 2nd and 3rd place and as such all trophies went to Discovery Bay! Nathan got a medal for 8th place. Well done Discovery College students!
Also congrats to Alan from Glenealy school for winning the 9th place medal.
At Caissa we are proud of you all to see your hard work turns into silverware ... keep it up!
