Caissa End of Season Blitz Winner: FM Daniel Lam

Today, 30 June we played 7 rounds double games (once with white and once with black against the same opponent) of 5 minutes + 3 seconds increment FIDE rated Blitz as our last event of Season 23-24.

Players in Action!

In round 3, with games 5 and 6, Daniel and Edgar played 1-1 and both lost 100% score. After that Caissa youth talent Brandon Fang, played 1-1 against Edgar and against Daniel in rounds 4 and 5 respectively. After 10 games played, Daniel and Edgar won all their remaining games to end with 12 points shared 1st place. On tie-break Daniel was crowned Champion.

With 10.5 points Brandon Fang ended 3rd, followed on 4th place by another Caissa upcoming talent, Mikail, with 9 points. On 5th place ended Advay, long time Caissa student who unfortunately for us played his last event for now due to moving out of Hong Kong. Keep your chess up Advay - it was a pleasure to have you, and your sister, in the Caissa student family for a long time. Youth player Isaac di well too to end number 6 in this strong field of many participating adults too.

The trophies for Best U16, Best U12 and Best U10 went respectively toto Caissa Boys Ryan, Brandon Alto and to Avery. Good job!
