Hong Kong Youth Talent Zion David Chiu Wins the Caissa Autumn 2024 Rapid Open with Players from 8 Different FIDE Jurisdictions.
On Sunday 27 October close to 30 players participated in Caissa's Autumn Rapid 2024. Some of our finest youth and strong adult players were present.
Top 6 Prize Winners - in the Middle Zion David Chiu, Champion!
Zion had a draw in round 3 but in round 5 he had to be paired against Caissa coach Emile who until then had won everything. But Zion showed his chess prowess and managed to defeat Emile. A great performance. All across the board many interesting games were played. Huang Jie got 3rd place with 5 points after Emile, also with 5 points and from 4th to 8th all players had 4 points. On tie-break the players who got a trophy back home were Edgar, Marvin and Lok Sum.
