St. Joseph’s Anglo-Chinese Primary School wins the Malvern College Scholastic Open 2nd Dr. R. Lister Cup

Yesterday, Sunday 9 June 2024, some 230 students, from 57 different schools arrived under conditions of Amber Rainstorm at Malvern College to participate in the last major scholastic chess event in Hong Kong. The magnificent facilities at Malvern College comfortably accommodated helpers, friends, parents and other family members who accompanied the players. With catering facilities open the whole day and with ample room in the spacious canteen, waiting in between rounds became very much tolerable to both players and those who accompanied them.

To start with the end: a very big congratulations to the St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School for winning the Dr. R. Lister Cup 2024, even without any players in the secondary age categories playing.
